Welcome Back K2!

Wicketpixie’s reign on my blog is over. It has been a pain to adjust, so I gave it up. As you can see, K2 is back. But I changed one thing. Yes, I included the status box into K2. So easy, you wish it was harder. So now I can hack on K2 to make it variable width because fixed width is bad when you have a massive widescreen monitor. You don’t get to USE all that space. Well when I’m done, you WILL be able to USE that space!

Working on the WicketPixie WordPress theme

As you very well may know, I have put the WicketPixie WordPress theme into Assembla (with Chris’ approval). That’s why OKS Blog has had problems. But i have restored to a working version and I put it in the Assembla SVN. I am planning on making a “test bed” that runs the latest version of WicketPixie, which should be easy to maintain because Assembla has a feature where it will do a GET request of any URL when a commit to the Subversion repository is performed. But I will have to secure the page to prevent other people from updating it unnecessarily.

Digging away the moments that make up a dull day

Due to some stupid error, now I can’t use /index.php/year/month/day/post-name URLs. WordPress just gives me it’s internal 404.

I am working on this bug and hope to have it fixed by the end of the day.

UPDATE: I had to go to 2.6-beta1 from my Time Machine Backup. Now we can use those kinds of URLs again.

I hope that this brings attention to WordPress developers, so they can fix this problem.

After much research, this bug also would affect us if we used /year/month/day/post-name.

New forums, buggy WordPress, fixed Trac, and a whole lot more!

I installed some new forums which are powered by forum software called bbPress. They are integrated with the blog meaning that if you login here, you’re logged in there. Also, you can login there with your login for our blog.

On a lower note, our WordPress has a problem. Look at the bottom of this page. There’s a nasty PHP warning. I am upset with it too. I’ll just keep on doing svn up until it fixes itself.

On a higher note, our Trac is fixed. It also moved to /trac instead of /cgi-bin/trac. It also is running 0.12dev.

UPDATE: WordPress was fixed. Wasn’t that fast?

A new author

I’d like to welcome a new author to Onekopakaspace Blog. His name is Matt Ventura. He is the author of TICHAT2, a chat program for the TI-83 Plus family of calculators. TICHAT2 is in our subversion repository. If you want to check out the file, do

svn co svn://theoks.net/tichat2/trunk tichat2trunk

Please note that TICHAT2 REQUIRES Omnicalc.
