Open source for the people

Firstly, I’m tired, and so that’s why the sucky title.

Any who: I just wanted to start a post that is to be a primer on open source.

Here’s a bug I fixed.

Happy 4th of July! This year makes the US 232 years old.

I finished setting up Nutch on Tomcat. It runs great. Currently I have only indexed oks.verymad.net but I will expand. If you wish to try it go here.

UPDATE: We also have scriptbot.asmcbain.net and asmcbain.net indexed.

I am thinking about offering FREE hosting on this machine. You will get your own webspace, and mysql user, and databases will be created for you.

I will ponder over this while I sleep..
