Macs are always cool. =) The base MacBook should work for you, heck, it’s got 2x more RAM and disk space than my Mac, and the graphics chip is much better (Nvidia chip vs. Intel integrated, not even a competition).
I have seen the new macs. Just one hint of advice: If the new macs are selling for $999.99, don’t get those ones, they aren’t much better. Your best bet is to get the ones that cost $1299.99 or up.
